# App showing EXTREMELY incorrect data

Been raining for 7 days straight. GeoDrop app showing 50% soil moisture an temps of 158 degrees.

Can you confirm that the device you’re talking about is 3353K8? This is the only device we can find from our internal records.
If this is indeed about 3353K8, we did find hardware damage associated with it, and we would recommend going through an RMA repair process if you want to address this issue. We can send you the further instructions about the process if it is confirmed to be about 3353K8.

Hi Marley,
Your post caught my attention, I’ve personally taken a look at your RAW sensor readings and it actually triggered a very rare bug in our AI software, so it’s actually **NOT** a hardware malfunction.
Long story short, your soil is quite wet, but it has higher than usual dielectric properties than the majority of soil out there, which caused our older AI Soil Physics model (released in Fall 2025) to get confused, which then caused subsequent software stages to trigger weird bugs that resulted in this incorrect moisture reading.
Your device is perfectly fine, the device installation is also perfectly fine (please do NOT move it or reinstall the device).
I’m trying to get the team together to qualify and get our latest AI soil physics model released in the next ~2 weeks, which actually contains a fix this bug (and also bring A LOT of new features).
Please bear with us for another ~2 weeks or so.
