Just got my sensors and installed them. Allowed them on the public portal. Both have red squares and “poor sensor quality”. Just want to make sure that’s expected vs not getting a good install. Don’t want to wait days only to realize i need to reinstall them into the soil better. Thanks!

Hi @ffco,

The red line on the dashboard indicates that GeoDrops AI isn’t confident enough about the reading to make the judgment calls. Since you just installed the unit, it will need a few days for the soil to settle before it sends you a “Learn Max Moisture” notification to exit out of this phase. If you followed the instructions on the app properly, your unit should exit out of that phase faster. Also, if the LED stopped flashing when you installed it into the soil, this is also an indicator of the soil contact quality.

Hope this helps,

@homedigy-stanley Excellent. That’s what I was hoping was the case. I did install them per the instructions and the LED went off. But the wording “Poor Sensor Quality” scared me a bit, and I got worried. Thanks for your help.

Hi @ffco ,

I do agree that it may be a good idea to consider rewording “Poor Sensor Quality” on the dashboard. Thanks for your feedback!
