The GeoDrops Community Forum is a place to ask questions, get help, share ideas, and discuss GeoDrops and related smart-home technology.
Please follow these rules:
1. Be respectful
Be constructive and respectful toward other members. Personal attacks, harassment, threats, hate speech, and abusive behavior are not allowed.
Members may disagree about products, troubleshooting methods, and technical approaches. Focus on the issue, not the person.
2. Keep posts relevant and useful
Keep discussions related to GeoDrops, smart-home products, integrations, troubleshooting, and other appropriate forum topics.
Use a clear title, post in the appropriate category, and avoid posting the same question in multiple places.
When requesting technical help, provide relevant information where practical, such as your product model, software or firmware version, symptoms, and troubleshooting steps already attempted.
Do not deliberately derail discussions, repeatedly post content that adds no meaningful information, or intentionally provide false or misleading technical information.
3. No sales, advertising, or solicitation
The GeoDrops Community Forum is not a marketplace.
Do not use public forum posts or replies to buy, sell, or resell products or services, advertise a business or paid service, solicit customers, or arrange commercial transactions.
This applies to GeoDrops devices as well as all other products and services.
Normal discussion of products, services, prices, retailers, and user experiences is welcome as long as the post is not being used to advertise, solicit, or arrange a sale.
4. No spam or promotional links
Do not post spam, repetitive promotional content, affiliate links, referral codes, or unrelated advertising.
If you have a commercial relationship with a product or company you are discussing, disclose it.
5. Protect privacy and security
Do not post passwords, access codes, API keys, payment information, private contact information, or other sensitive information.
Remove sensitive information from screenshots, logs, and configuration files before posting them publicly.
6. Do not post illegal or harmful content
Do not use the forum to facilitate unlawful activity, malicious access, malware, fraud, or deliberate compromise of another person’s devices or accounts.
7. Respect ownership and identity
Only share content you have the right to post.
Do not impersonate other users, moderators, Homedigy employees, or other organizations, or falsely represent yourself as speaking on behalf of Homedigy.
8. Community advice is not official guidance
Community members may share troubleshooting suggestions, configurations, modifications, and other technical advice. Unless a post is clearly identified as official guidance from an authorized Homedigy representative, that advice is provided by the individual community member and is not endorsed or guaranteed by Homedigy.
Use community-provided advice at your own discretion and consider the risks before changing device settings, wiring, software, integrations, or other system configurations.
Damage or other issues caused by following unofficial instructions may not be covered by the GeoDrops warranty, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable warranty.
9. Help us keep the forum useful
If you see content that appears to violate these rules, report it to the moderation team rather than escalating the situation yourself.
