For an 8,000 sq. ft. lawn, our general rule of thumb is 8 Droplets (roughly 1 per 1,000 sq. ft.) to get adequate coverage. You can start with buying 4 units and then buy more when you find that you need more. Also, if you have shady spots under trees or sloped areas that dry out faster, you may want to buy more units to ensure adequate coverage for those areas.
