[Update 2025-11-3]: The updated GeoDrops App has been released over the weekend, and a brand new GeoDrops AI | Watering User Guide has just been released!
You can download the “GeoDrops AI: Watering User Guide” here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1MJF9Z20rlbjwNJOVSFqqms82c7Sr-Qy3/view
Thanks for your patience, and please let me know what all of you think (if you’re not able to use GeoDrops over the winter, it’s ok! Would still love to just hear your thoughts if you have any feedback for us on where we’re taking GeoDrops).
[Update 2025-10-29]: Please wait for a new App update coming within a few days. We were almost done with the new User Guide over the past weekend, except we found a very bad bug that was not reproducible in our internal testing environment. The bug fix is now (almost) ready and we’ll be submitting it to Apple App Store and Google Play Store tonight. It’ll take a few days to be reviewed/approved by Google/Apple, before they show up on the App Store.
I’ll provide more updates here once this is approved, and will release the new User Guide at the same time.
Thanks for your pateince and understanding!
[Update 2025-10-18: The software had been released on Oct 15. We are currently working on a brand new User Guide. Given it’s now Fall, we’d like to get the Guide right and not rush it. Please feel free to play around with the new App in the meantime though. We currently expect to release the new GeoDrops User Guide in approx ~1 week or so from now.]
[Update 2025-10-13: We’ve run into one minute bug with the AI algorithm’ math in edge cases that were not caught during our week long system test previously. We really want to get Watering Reminders and Controls right, so please give us 1-2 more days to fix this]

When.
Starting from NOW until Friday October 10. We will let you know if the full software update completes earlier than that.
GeoDrops App update will be available early next week.
Impact to You.
None. This massive GeoDrops software update (across Cloud, AI Backend, and Apps) is expected to be fully automated behind the scene. If you notice any bug or weird software behavior in the next 1 week, please let us know ASAP by filing a tech support ticket!
IMPORTANT - Irrigation Control coming soon.
IFTTT based irrigation control is NOT part of this release.
Help needed: Please help us enable watering control once the App is rolled out next week, and please let us know if the AI is making any mistake with the watering alerts. We currently only having AI watering trend enabled in Cloud, and will slowly enable AI watering prediction as we gain confidence in how people are using the watering notification system.
Please use this feature, and file bugs and/or feedback as much as you can, to help us gain more usage mileage before we move forward!
What’s next.
Our engineering team will follow-up next week with a more detailed post with guides on how to use the new watering reminder system.
Thanks!
Lawrence
