Last Updated: May 23, 2026

  • 2026, Mar 25: Phase 1 of Major GeoDrops Cloud 2026 AI and backend system upgrade – Complete

:three_o_clock: Resolved Issues:

  • Alerts & Notifications Systems: upgrade complete, service restored on Apr 14

  • GeoDrops Public Dashboard: upgrade complete, service restored on Apr 12

  • [Bug Fix] AI Model Edge Cases: Approximately 2% of users are seeing anomalous moisture readings related to bugs in the new AI soil physics model, this has been fixed on Apr 15

  • [Bug Fix] Slow AI Learning: Initial AI learning and soil settling when first installed in soil is taking longer than usual , due to regression in our Big Data processing pipeline, this has been fixed on May 2

  • [Bug Fix] Inaccurate Near-Frozen Temperature Notification: GeoDrops may show notifications of “frozen temperature” more aggressively than it should, due to regression in our Big Data processing pipeline, this has been fixed on May 2.

  • [Bug Fix] Abnormal Max Moisture Calibration Alerts: Many users are seeing abnormal Max Moisture Calibration alerts and notifications popping up, even though the sensor readings seem perfectly accurate. This has been root-caused to two different bugs in our system (1 bug in notification pipeline, and 1 bug in BigData processing pipeline). This issue has been fixed on May 22.

:hammer_and_wrench: Active Issues:

  • Daily Weather Data May Display Incorrect Values: This issue has been partially fixed on May 22.

:books: Future Roadmap & Documentation:

Once the current issues above are fully resolved, we will begin updating our user guides and documentation to cover areas such as:

  • Understanding the difference between “Raw Moisture” vs. “Real Moisture”, and why “Real Moisture” is sometimes unavailable

  • For advanced users who are writing Home Automation scripts against GeoDrops API, understanding all the new output fields

  • Looking further ahead: Real-Time Re-learning of IRR Calibration (launching with Phase 2 App software).
