Battery Life Reporting Discrepancy

Big, big fan of the BigQuery capabilities - thank you! Made a post about some scripting I did to pull that data into Home Assistant.

One thing looking at the data did highlight though - there appears to be a semi-significant disparity (~6%) between the battery level reported in the app and the data in BigQuery. Looking at the reported battery for 337MHW right now (~9pm ET on 11/8), BigQuery reports 24.9% while the App says 19%. Is that expected behavior?

Hi @Scythe ,

Thanks for your thorough effort on the other thread (I held off on commenting myself while flagging engineering to look at it further). Regarding the battery reporting disparity, we’ll take a closer look and report back when we found out more.

Hi @Scythe ,

Thanks again for the Home Assistant work you’ve done. We’ll be looking at it thoroughly soon.

On another note, we are currently backed up on the next release. I will flag engineering again soon to look into the battery reporting discrepancy further.

Hi @Scythe ,

Just want to give you an update. We found the bug responsible for this, and it’s in the API. The app is actually working properly. The fix will be patched soon.

We’ll give you another update when this is done.

Thanks for letting us know and your patience!

Thanks for the update @homedigy-stanley. Obviously it wasn’t a huge deal, but it’s nice to know I wasn’t seeing things

Hi @Scythe ,

I wanted to clarify that the fix for this issue is part of a larger update currently in development. It’s taking longer than initially expected, so there isn’t a release date yet. I just wanted to correct what I said earlier. I’ll share another update once there’s movement on the rollout.

Thanks,

No worries - 3 out of my 4 units are out of the ground and powered down for the winter anyways.
