Put my geodrop in the ground but it is showing out of soil?
there are instructions and videos as you install it - you need to clear the area so that the entire droplet sits flat on the ground, not the grass itself, make a hole to fit the battery compartment, but try not to disturb the soil around it, then the droplet goes in with undisturbed soil going between the two blades - the blades are very close to the battery compartment, so that’s tricky. Then the fun begins, there’s a green LED that will come in every 10-15s, it will blink for up to 5 times if the soil is. not in good contact. You’ll need to add water and wiggle the dirt compacting it between the blades until there is no blink - at that point the LED will turn off and you leave it alone. Watch those videos during the setup procedure.
Hi @glendawg ,
Can you share the serial number? We can take a quick look if we know the serial number.
Thanks,

Thank you for responding so quickly..
It appears I was to quick to reach out, it is working correctly now. I had planted two units and one of them was showing out of soil, it was the second one I put in. I don’t think I gave it enough time to do its thing.
While I have you, I have a Rachio controller, and I understand we are still waiting for the rollout for the software to have geodrop connect to controller. Should I expect an email when it’s ready or will something come up on the app?
Hi @glendawg ,
Good to hear regarding your units. Regarding the Rachio support question, when the rollout is ready, we will announce on multiple places (here, on the app, etc.).
I have included a related discussion below:
Hope this helps, and thanks again for your support and patience!
