Any reason why this battery doesnt show up.
Hi @Taylordr61 ,
This indicates a potential moisture leak. Please take a look at this post for our troubleshooting guide.
Similar to cleaning a spill from a laptop keyboard, thoroughly cleaning your Droplet and letting it dry for at least 48 hours in a warm indoor environment may sometimes make it work again. For future reference, it is critically important to follow the O-ring cleaning and lubrication guide.
If your device is under warranty, and you suspect a manufacturing defect (e.g., you have consistently followed the O-ring cleaning instructions), please contact us to initiate a Warranty and Repair (RMA) service request.
Thanks,
Leon
It is showing battery again with out any interference from me. The batteries were replaced oring clean and silicone lubed This was one of the same units that were asking to be reset. That seems to be resolved. Should i remove it and check or see if it happens again
I strongly recommend removing the device and letting it dry for a few days to prevent any further damage.
Just to make sure we are looking at the same device, I checked the data for 337C5F. As you can see, the battery value is still missing and the battery percentage suddenly drops on May 21 before jumping right back to 100%. (You can access the battery history from Device Status tab → Scroll down to Battery → History)
Thanks,
Leon
Just an FYI. I removed the unit and opened it up. No evidence of any water inside and the oring was still intact with plenty of silicone. I tested the batteries and they all came back good one was slightly low but still in the green. I will leave it out for a few days and install new batteries and see how it goes.
Ok i added the batteries back and inserted into a new spot on the lawn. After wetting the clay soil letting it soak. It is still difficult putting in the battery block. Having it angled or pointed at the bottom would be a great help for people with dense soil. However the battery is reading. I notice not only on this one but the other units never show 100% battery even with new batteries. This one shows 71% with new evereddy batteries. I will track it to see if it continues to show battery level
Thank you for the update! And I’ll pass the installation issue to the hardware team.
Leon
