Large moisture reading spikes with no watering event

What is the cause of this large spike in moisture on 8/29? The device detected a watering event even though there was no rain or irrigation. Several of my devices occasionally show similar spikes in moisture even when there is no watering event.

Some of these spikes in moisture seem to correlate with increased soil temperature. Is this coincidental or causal?

Also just noticed that 337CYU spiked at same time and 334K6P spiked a couple of hours later. No rain that I’m aware of and no irrigation.

We will investigate this. Please help us improve our data training by thumbing down that false watering event
